Anti-racism for us means:

  • Having a diverse team that reflects the different cultures we work in and communicate with.

  • Asking questions and actively listening to communities we travel in, to ensure we are having a positive impact.

  • Striving to have a positive financial and environmental impact on the communities we work with and travel to. See more on sustainable travel and hear from our team here.

  • Giving back to these communities through our Tanzanian led NGO (GLV Huduma).

  • Never sharing photos of children on our social media or website. Only sharing photos of community members where we have explicit consent from them. We take the upmost care with this, but please do contact us if we’ve missed anything.

  • Sharing positive and empowering stories about Tanzania and all it has to offer on our website and via social media.

  • Educating our travellers about anti-racism before and during their travels including:

    • Showing them the best that Tanzania has to offer and discouraging poverty narratives on our trips.

    • Encouraging sustainable travel.

    • Respecting and understanding more about local customs and cultures through cultural experiences.

    • Encouraging responsible photography and sharing of photos on public platforms (e.g. social media).

  • Making personal commitments to learn more about how we can further tackle racism in tourism through self-education and open conversations. If you have any feedback for us on how we are doing, or where we can do more, please do contact us.
