Safety First

It goes without saying that your group’s safety is paramount to ANY adventure, and especially for Expeditions overseas. This is why, from the very start of planning, your safety always takes precedence. In every decision we have taken, from location choice to project work, budgeting, staff, excursions, transportation and training, we have considered your safety first.

The steps we have taken to ensure your safety:

We commit to having a vehicle present at all times so, in the case of an emergency or evacuation, we can take the quickest and safest possible actions. We do not work in remote areas, with the exception of the waterfall hike, our vehicles can evacuate our groups at all times from where they are. We ensure that all our activities, projects, and accommodation locations are less than an hour away from hospitals and anti-venom clinics. We provide 24/7 emergency evacuation and support. Our experienced staff have been trained in our emergency and incident response procedures. An experienced Expedition Leader will be present at all times. They will hold a 16-hour outdoor first-aid certificate. More importantly than this, we hire staff with experience in managing groups in extreme environments, the ability to minimise risks through careful planning and neutralise issues before they arise through experienced foresight.

A highly trained Expedition Leader with specific in-country experience. At least 16 hours outdoor first aid qualification, Summer ML qualification or equally matched experience in group management. Trained by Green Light Ventures UK to follow incident/accident and emergency protocols.
